That was the whole point of the defense the Hawks played on the Magic. The plan was not to “stop Howard” but to stop the perimeter shooters. Because Magic right now live and die from the 3 pointer.
Howard averaged 27 points and 15 rebounds in that series. They didn’t stop him – they basically forced him to play as a 1 man team – which never works. You’re right, but if the rest of his team didn’t have such atrocious fg%, that probably wouldn’t have happened.

if howard does improve his free throw percentage to like 70 80% he could easily average 25+ plus points
