its crazy to think that when a regular player or even some stars make a fadeaway its like wow you know a highlight, but to kobe its just like a regular jumper

old age weight is usually fat… kobe aint getting any fatter… you get more muscle when you need more strength… as simple as that… kobe is doing more olympic lifts and upped body strengthening cause he is getting older… he cant do explosive training because he is taxing his knee, so he is using another way arround

  8. googletoogle

Hell be gaining from now on until he dies. Old age weight can’t be helped.

  9. ADove300

    Let me assume this..

You probably stupid enough to think Kobe is a better post-player than Jordan right??

Why do you think legends like Phil Jackson and Tex Winter call Jordan the best low-post guard in NBA history? Do you actually think it’s because he would back people down and do point-blank lay-ups/finger rolls all day?

Stop insulting our intelligence kid! I already feel dumber for reading what you said, you can’t afford education in the US or something?

  13. MrTheTruthOnly

“Jordan was probably more efficient but he certainly does not use the move as often as kobe.”

You know what I’m thinking when I watch Kobe games nowadays? Why doesn’t he utilize the turnaround fadeaway as much as Jordan did?

Never did I once think to myself that Kobe used it more than Jordan, NOT ONCE.

What I observe is that Kobe is shedding weight as he gets older to have it easier on his knee, and he isn’t as STRONG in maintaining the post as Jordan did, and hence less turnaround fades.

  14. MrTheTruthOnly

By the way, not only have you not watched basketball in the 90s, you obviously don’t even have basic basketball common sense, there is no such thing as a turnaround “pull-up” fadeaway, there is only a turnaround fadeaway, to pull up is to dribble drive, stop and shoot.

There is absolutely nothing that suggests Kobe uses it the turnaround fade more than Jordan did, we can even compile the average number of possessions of both players where they utilize the turnaround fade from a sample of games

  15. MrTheTruthOnly

Kid just stop embarassing yourself, I can already tell you’ve never watched late 90s Jordan.

NO ONE in NBA history used the turn-around pull up fade more than Jordan, I DARE say at least 70% of MJ’s possessions in his 2nd 3peat years came from posting up and shooting the fadeaway Js, both Phil and Tex have attested that Jordan is a superior post-player than Kobe, what is the move that follows the post-move? The fadeaway jumper

  16. Hawkhunter07

    “Jordan was probably more efficient”

That tone of uncertainty already proves you’ve never watched Jordan play before except for his highlights, what a pity. Saying Jordan doesn’t use it as much is truly an insult to all real basketball enthusiast, there is not a SINGLE GUARD in NBA history that utilized it more than Jordan, Kobe is a VERY close second though.

Take a sample of 1996-1998 games from Jordan and compare the number of fades compared to a sample from Kobe, it’s not even a question.

  17. Hawkhunter07

“kobe uses the turn-around pull up fadeaway more then anyone who has been in the NBA”

If you think he does that more than Jordan, YOU ARE A MORON, Kobe fades a lot we all know that, but the reason he doesn’t use the fade as much as Jordan is because Jordan was a superior post-player that was able to maintain his position in the low-post better than Kobe did and hence convert it into a turnaround fadeaway shot more.

  18. Hawkhunter07

On what basis are you saying Jordan doesn’t use the move as often?

Almost every possession in Jordan’s 2nd 3peat years was either a catch and fade, or Jordan starts operating in the low-post for that turnaround fadeaway, I find it highly insulting that a young fan like you would even claim such a thing. I’ve followed both player’s careers extensively (I know them both more than you) and it is obvious you have never watched a post-1st retirement Jordan play basketball at all.

kobe uses the turn-around pull up fadeaway more then anyone who has been in the NBA. Jordan was probably more efficient but he certainly does not use the move as often as kobe.
